Vineyards and vines
Location: Terra Alta. Denominación de Origen (Guarantee of quality). Vilalba dels Arcs.
Extension: 700 ha of own vineyards in the same village.
Varieties: Garnacha and Cariñena.
Age of vineyards: A minimum of twenty years.
Selection: Selection of the best vineyards taking into account different quality factors.

Harvesting
During September, 1999.
Selection of the best vineyards, which are hand-harvested so as grapes arrive entire, healthy and in optimum conditions for their elaboration.

Winemaking
Fermentation of each variety is done separately and they are fermented and macerated the time necessary to obtain a good level of colour and polyphenolic substances.
Fermentation temperature: 26-28 º C.

Ageing
Ageing in American and French oak wineskins for 14 months until it is bottled.

Tasting notes
Colour:It is a deep cherry colour wine with orange colour on its side.
Nose:The aroma of this wine has a great fruit expression, a great fineness with fine wood notes and a light toasted caramel touch, fruit and vanilla notes and an excellent oxidative evolution of the vintage.
Taste: Intense, powerful taste with good wood and fruit tannins, tasty, structured and well-integrated with the fine touches of wood (chocolate, vanilla…), smoked notes, spicy and with toasted tastes which evolves well on the bottle.

Gastronomy and conservation
It is an ideal wine to go with white and read meat, lamb, hunting, rice and cured cheeses.
It should be served at a temperature of 17-18º C.
