Vilalba is a depository of centuries of culture and tradition. Several celebrations in this town draw a cultural and human landscape, which revives memories of tradition and it projects this tradition to the future. These celebrations are Sant Sebastià in January, the pilgrimage to Berrús and the representation of the Passion during Holy Week. All them are also reflected in gastronomy: potato omelette with sauce, rice with codfish or rabbit casserole and also sweet things like for example little cake made with a typical pumpkin jam called Cabell d’àngel or a traditional sponge soft cake are distinguished examples of the historical gastronomy of this town.
